What this page covers
Studio Go lets you connect a YouTube channel, a Facebook Page, your own Facebook profile, an Instagram professional account or a Twitch channel to your studio, so you can go live on it and show its viewers' comments. This page explains what Studio Go keeps from a connected account and how to have it deleted. For everything else Studio Go keeps about you, see the privacy policy.
What Studio Go keeps from a connected account
- The account's name, picture and ID on the platform.
- The access tokens the platform gives when you connect the account, used to create your lives on it and read their comments. They are stored on our studio servers only and never sent to a browser.
- The permissions you granted (on Facebook) and the settings of your next lives on the account: title, description, privacy (YouTube) and category (Twitch).
- The stream address and key you paste into the account's card for a live the platform does not let the studio create itself, such as an Instagram live.
- A record of each live the studio made on the account: its ID on the platform, when it started and ended, and the address (with its key) it streamed to.
- During a live, the comments of that live (the author's name and picture, the text and the time) come into your studio so you can show them. The latest ones are held in the studio server's memory only and are not saved; commenters' pictures are kept in a cache for a short while. A comment you show on the stage becomes part of your live, and of its recording if you record it, like anything else on the stage.
Studio Go reads only the comments of the live you are on air with: never your earlier broadcasts, your other videos or posts, or your messages. It acts on the account only to create and end the lives you start (on Twitch, it also sets the live's title and category).
Delete it yourself, at once
- Open your studio and find the account in the Stream tab, under Apps.
- Press × next to it and confirm.
The account, its tokens, its live settings and the records of its lives (with any stream key you pasted) are deleted from our studio servers at once: the studio stops reading its comments and can no longer go live on it.
Remove Studio Go from Facebook or Instagram
You can also end Studio Go's access from the platform itself:
- Facebook: Settings & privacy › Settings › Business integrations (or Apps and websites) › Studio Go › Remove.
- Instagram: Settings › Website permissions › Apps and websites › Studio Go › Remove.
An Instagram account is connected through the Facebook Page it is linked to, so removing Studio Go on Facebook also ends its access to that Instagram account. For YouTube, remove Studio Go from the third-party connections of your Google Account; for Twitch, disconnect it in Settings › Connections.
This ends our access at once: Studio Go can no longer read from the account or go live on it. Its name and picture stay listed in your studio until you remove the account there or ask us to delete it.
Ask us to delete everything
Write to us from the contact page with the email of your Studio Go account, or the name of the connected Page, profile or channel. We delete the connected accounts, their tokens and the records of their lives from our studio servers, and confirm when it is done.
Deleting your Studio Go account
To close your Studio Go account, send a request from the "Delete account" section of your account page (or write to us from the contact page). Our team contacts you to confirm; nothing is deleted until then. When the account is deleted, auto-renew is turned off, your saved cards are removed at our payment provider, and your studio is deleted from our studio servers with its recordings, uploaded files, settings and every connected account with its tokens. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires.
